Cheryl Ann (Brown) Hinshaw was born to Marjorie Ann Brown and Earl Howard Brown in Kermit, TX on January 3rd, 1959. She passed away peacefully in her home in Snyder, TX on December 24, 2024, after a brief illness.
Cheryl spent most of her school-age years in Jal, NM, and graduated from Jal High School in 1977. In junior high and high school, she played basketball and volleyball and ran track. Cheryl was an amazing cook and immaculate housekeeper. She enjoyed reading the Bible, attending church, and spending time with her family and friends.
Cheryl married George (Buddy) Hinshaw on January 27th, 1992, in Kermit, TX. For the next 11 years, they lived in Jal, NM. They moved to Snyder, TX, in 2003, and spent 21 happy years there together.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lisa. She is survived by her husband Buddy, daughter Amber (Brent) Pick of Robinson, TX, daughter Courtney (T.J.) Cathey of Portales, NM, and daughter Jana Hinshaw of Jal, NM. She was “Mimi” to seven grandchildren, Haylee, Natilee, Brayden, Zane, Brooklynn, Aidan, and Jase. She is also survived by her three siblings, brother Jeff (Debra) Brown of Bullard, TX, brother Mark (Judy) Brown of Jay Oklahoma, and sister Kimberly (Jon) Libick of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Cheryl was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God. She cherished her church and the dear friendships she formed there. Her faith in God was apparent to everyone who knew her. She was a prayer warrior and shared the love of Jesus with many friends and family members.
Family Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 27th, at 6 p.m. at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, TX. A Funeral service will be held at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Snyder, TX on Saturday, December 28th, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. John Rasmus, Sid Franklin, Robert Cummins, Stevie Leatherwood, Chris Thomison, and Randy Williams will be Pallbearers. Jeff Brown, Mark Brown, T.J. Cathey, Brent Pick, Brayden Pick, Zane Nunez, and Randy Nunez will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Lunch will be provided for the family at noon at the church before the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale.
