Cheryl Mick

Cheryl Galgoci Mick, 78 of Newton Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Brookdale of Austintown.
Cheryl was born on March 18, 1947 in Niles, the only, beloved daughter of Rudolph "Rudy" and June (Walton) Galgoci.
She graduated from Niles High School in 1965, then went on to Clemson University where she graduated in 1969, earning a degree in Elementary Education. She worked and retired as a teacher in the Niles City School system, where she spent over 32 years.
Cheryl loved her small breed dogs, especially Micah, Hunter and Sausage. She also truly enjoyed baking and preparing for the holidays, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, practicing her faith and serving as a missionary. After her retirement, Cheryl traveled to Egypt, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Alaska and many other places in the U.S.
Cheryl was a member of the First Church of God in Newton Falls, then North Mar Church in Warren.
Remaining to cherish Cheryl's memory are children; Doreen Mick, Robin (James) Miller Albano and R. Scott (Lisa) Miller; grandchildren, Isaac (Elizabeth) Albano, Autumn Miller, Paisley DeDonato, Max Albano, Zander Miller, Jack Albano and C.J. DeDonato and great grandchildren.
Preceding Cheryl in death are her husband, Thomas Mick, stepson, Tommy Mick and her parents, Rudy and June Galgoci.
According to Cheryl's wishes, cremation will take place and a private family burial will take place at a later date at Kerr Cemetery in Mineral Ridge.
