Cheryl A. Moore, 79, of Greenwood, passed away on August 29, 2023. She was born on June 16, 1944 in Indianapolis, to the late Bessie J. (Townsend) and Fletcher Hughes York. She graduated from Danville High School in 1962 and married Albert H. Moore on September 29, 1962. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2003. Cheryl was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family and friends. In her spare time she liked to vacation at the beach, loved being outdoors, and formerly was on a bowling league with her sister. Survivors include her children, Melissa (Julian) Murray of Helen, Georgia, Fletcher (Kristy) Moore of Danville, Indiana, Robin Moore Cadwallader (Michael Weaver) of Greenwood, Indiana; siblings, Carolyn S. (Steve) Carter of Texas, Francine H. (Charlie) Herrin of Fairbanks, IN., Terry L. (Julie) York of Danville, Emma L. (Brad) Hamilton of Indianapolis, Gary L. (Kelly) York, Bonnie J. (Roger) Bennett, both of Danville, brother-in-law, Allen Hood of Plainfield; 10 grandchildren, Michael (Julia), Tyler (Sarah), Halley Downer, Ethan, Noah Murray, April, Gunn, Joshua Moore, Jessica (Randy) Chupp, Victoria Moore, Libby Cadwallader; and 8 great-grandchildren. Her parents; husband; daughter, Aletta Renee Moore; and sister, Janice K. Hood, preceded her in death. Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 02, 2023 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service time in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 6415 Castleway West Drive Suite 114 Indianapolis, IN 46250.

Cheryl, or Nana as I´ve always known her had an incredibly beautiful and loving soul. She was kind and compassionate to everyone she came in contact with and was so loving. I can only hope that her family will find peace and healing in the months and years to come. Praying for you all.
