Cheryl Renee Vaughan, age 61, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025 at Civita Nursing Home. She was born on August 4, 1963 in Norwalk, Connecticut to the late Curtis Vaughan and Thelma Motley Elder. Cheryl poured her heart and soul into her children and grandchildren, she was courageous and loyal, always nurturing and inspiring to every life that she touched. Her memory will be treasured by three sons; Lance Vaughan (Sasha), Kenneth Vaughan (Lucy) and Tyler Vaughan, two adored grandchildren; Crystal Maria Vaughan and Jamir Royce Vaughan, three sisters; Jacqueline Sellers (Kevin), Renee Womack and Regina Vaughan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Curtis Vaughan and Thelma Motley Elder, she was predeceased by her daughter; Aftain Faith Angione. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025 from10:00 am – 11:00 am, followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, 17 West Ave., Norwalk, CT., Rev. Dr. Lindsay E. Curtis officiant. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
