The Cycz family lived down the street growing up in Johnstown, Chet was always the cool older kid growing up, he was 4 years older and lived right on the corner where us younger kids were aloud to be. Walking down the hill 1 block to "The Corner" i was always hoping Chet would be out somehow. Maybe cutting the grass or doing chores, because Chet would always take a minute to throw the football with ya or play catch for a minute, or jump into a wiffle ball game, with us young kids! He just had a kind heart. I remember him playing chess against my dad and hanging out at our house. Time moved on, life moved on neighborhoods moved on. But as a youngster growing up on Orange Ave. and Haws St. Chet was a Hero to the kids in the neighborhood and made a difference.
RIP ol Buddy.

I am saddened to hear of Chet´s passing. He was a fun loving kid growing up and we sure did have a lot of fun on the corner of Haws street in his hometown of Johnstown, Pa. The Czyz´s were great neighbors and family. I will always remember the fun memories and especially helping their grandmother pick dandelions. My sincere condolences, Chrissy Casey.
