Chester Roger Webster, age 72, of Roosevelt, passed away April 4, 2023, at his home.
He was born on March 9, 1951, in Rexburg, ID, to Chester Walker and Zeruah H Belnap Webster. He married Rosie “Rachael” Eads on February 2, 1993, in Salt Lake City.
Chester had served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He had worked as a construction worker, a private investigator, and owned and operated a sign and painting business. He was a poet, writer, and loved to sing and play guitar. He was an active member of the militia when he lived in Michigan. He did great impersonations of actors and singers, a favorite being John Wayne. He enjoyed camping and being in the outdoors. He was a survivalist who was self sustaining.
Chester is survived by his wife, Rose, of Roosevelt; his children, Whaley Webster, Roosevelt; Hope (Rebel) Lawson, Arkansas; Genevieve (Taylor) Hooiman, Midvale, UT; step-son, Chase Hamilton, Salt Lake City; two grandchildren; two sisters, Chirl, of Ogden; Deanna, of St. George.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his request, he was cremated.
Memorial services with military honors will be presented on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the East Stake Pavillion.
