Chester Wierzba Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 11, 2025.
Chester (Chet) Wierzba, 90, of Weston, passed away with family by his side, at Rennes Health
and Rehab Center on March 4, 2025.
He was born on February 14, 1935, to Steve and Delphime Wierzba. He married the love of his
life, Grace Zimbauer, on September 10, 1955, in Wausau. Together they raised three children,
Mark, Jerry, and Pam.
Chet was employed at Weyerhaeuser for over 40 years and was fortunate to have enjoyed
nearly 30 years of retirement. While he enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, boating, church
picnics, and polka music, spending time with his family meant the most.
Chet was very proud of his manicured lawn and beautiful flower beds. On warm days he could
be found on his deck enjoying the outdoors. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell
stories to get a laugh. But it usually ended with him laughing harder than his audience. We will
miss his stories.
Chet will be deeply missed by his son Jerry (Pam) Wierzba, daughter Pam Wierzba,
daughter-in-law Deb Wysocki, brothers Eugene (Nancy) Wierzba, Myron (Joan) Wierzba,
Robert (Carol) Wierzba, sister Carol Heil, grandchildren Rachel (Jake) Baudhuin, Ross Wierzba,
John Wierzba, great-grandchildren Liam Baudhuin, Blake Baudhuin, and Lennon Baudhuin, as
well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Grace, his son Mark, brother Leonard, and
sister Bernice.
Services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Parish with visitation at 10.00
a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Officiated by Father Jerome Patric. Burial will follow in
the parish cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes Health and Rehab Center for their care and
compassion.
