Funeral services for Chloe Foster Ganier, 96, of Greenville, MS will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church, Greenville. She died on January 1, 2024. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Chloe was born on January 20, 1927, in Tchula, MS. She attended Stephen's College and graduated from Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans with a BA degree. She married Gene Ganier, and they enjoyed many happy years together with family and friends in Hollandale, MS. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Greenville and other organizations.
Chloe, or Nana as she was more affectionately known, was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Those that knew her felt her joy for life and her enthusiasm for making the most of every moment. She loved without abandon and never missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her Ole Miss Rebels! Her unwavering faith and love was truly an inspiration, and upon spending any time with her, one would come to quickly understand that Christ was always center stage in her life. He was in every decision and choice that she made, and He was ever present in her upbeat attitude, a joy that she shared with everyone she came across. Being the social butterfly that she was, Nana was always up for a gathering, and her calendar was always full. She poured herself into those that she loved, making sure they knew how special they were. If Nana said the blessing before the meal, you'd better prepare for the most beautiful message and words shared with God and hope that your food would still be warm by the end. She had an affinity for caramel cake, the color pink, and winning the high hand in bridge. Her outward beauty was reflected by the beauty within her. Nana's goodbyes never ended at the door, she would run out with arms in the air and wave and blow kisses until you were out of sight. This is how she lived her life up until the very last moment, giving all, she had and loving unconditionally just like Christ loves us. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her love and memory will be felt in our hearts forever and ever.
Preceding her in death were her late husband, Gene Bradford Ganier of Hollandale, MS, and her daughter Lynda Lee Ganier Stock, and son-in-law George Stock III.
She is survived by her three grandchildren, Gene Ganier Stock, wife Jane Hall Stock of Greenville, MS, Melissa Stock Stavn, husband Thad Stavn, and Katie-Chloe Stock Nabors, husband Sprat Nabors of Jackson, WY. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, George Bradford Stock, Margaret (Maggie) Kirkland Stock, Elizabeth (Liza) Lee Stock, Greer Elyse Stavn, and Estella (Stella) Lyles Stavn. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte Foster Baugh of Huntsville, AL.
Christ died for us that we may live in Him forever and ever. Praise God.
Matthew 25:21 'Well done, good and faithful servant!'

Chloe became a special friend to my husband and me when we moved to Hollandale in 1976 for Wilson to preach at Hollandale Presbyterian Church. She and Gene were especially kind and supportive to our young family. I loved Chloe and thank God for her. We have kept in touch all these years. She loved the Lord Jesus in sincerity. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Psalm 116:15.
