February 29, 1956 – March 3, 2025
Chris Tracy was a faithful man of God, a loving husband, a dedicated father, a loving brother, son in law, brother-in-law, and an awesome friend. Those of us who loved Chris will miss him greatly.
Chris passed into heaven peacefully at 1am, March 3, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie, his 5 children, Hilary, Travis, Katelyn, Mathew, Collin and their spouses. In addition, Chris was blessed to have 9 grandchildren: Mercedez, Braddock, Leilahnie, Aiyanna, Cash, Leah, and three unborn children due this spring (2 girls and 1 boy). Chris was blessed with a large family that he loved with all his heart!
Chris was born in San Pedro, California on February 29, 1956, as a leap year baby he was able to celebrate 17 1/4 birthdays. He was joined in birth with his twin sister, Caryn. It has been said that Caryn was the leader, and Chris was the faithful follower, enabling them both to be very active. Chris was a quiet leader, a servant, and rock to all of us. He is preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Majel Tracy, and his older sisters, Janet and Joyce.
Chris was on the cross-country team at Carson High School and enjoyed studying mechanics and the marine animal program. After high school he became a Volvo mechanic and worked across the street from Disneyland. Chris was very gifted as a mechanic and all the jobs he held throughout his life centered around the mechanical technician field. He finished his career with many years of working at Hewlett Packard in Corvallis Oregon.
Chris enjoyed life, especially on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He loved boating, fishing, camping, back-packing, traveling, and working in his garage and on his home and attending thousands of sports practices and games between his 5 kids.
There will be a celebration of life service remembering Chris March 15, 2025, at 4 pm at the River Center, 3000 S. Santiam Hwy, Lebanon Oregon. There will be a meal after the ceremony. Donations honoring Chris can be made to Obria Medical Clinics Oregon, 136 W. Vine Street, Lebanon Oregon.
