Chris passed away May 1, 2024, at Euclid Hospital in Euclid.
She was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Euclid.
Chris was the loving mother of Thomas (Kim) Wetzel, Ann (Frank) Buda, Paul Wetzel and Susan (Tony) Isabella; and cherished grandmother of Stephanie, Matthew, Frankie, Andy, Michael (Michen), Hailey, Nick, Anna (Hayden), Tommy, Theresa, Joey, Emma, Lauren, Mary and Emily. She loved them more than words could describe.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas; parents, Angelo and Margaret (nee Gaetano) Waterwash; and siblings, James, Joseph, Louis, Samuel, Angela, Rosella, Annette and Thomas.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), in Mentor. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Twp.

Mrs. Wetzel was the "kool-aide" mom in our neighborhood! When I was growing up on the same cul de sac as her awesome family- she was like a bonus mom. Always welcoming the neighborhood kids in- offering snacks and words of wisdom.

We enjoyed spending time with Chris at Chief Wetzel house when he cooked his famous chicken, and she always tried to communicate with Angie and she is nonverbal, Chris was a wonderful person and my family will miss her
