Christian Leinbach Obituary

Born in Caernarvon Twp., he was the son of the late Clement M. and Annie S. (Newswanger) Leinbach. Christian worked as a general contractor. He was a member of the Hamburg Bible Church. Christian enjoyed gardening, woodworking, projects around the house and his childrens' homes, driving around in his utility vehicle, and putting puzzles together. He especially enjoyed reading his Bible. It was always with him. Christian's favorite hymn was "It Is Well With My Soul."
Christian is survived by his children: Christian Y. Leinbach (Jennifer); Lynette L. Leinbach; David K. Leinbach (Beverly); Philip M. Leinbach (Carrie); and Jonathan G. Leinbach (Amy); twenty-five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother: Enos; and sisters: Emma, Fanny, Anna and Mabel. Christian was predeceased by two granddaughters; one brother: David; and three sisters: Katie, Susie and Martha.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at Schuylkill Valley Bible Chapel, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Twp. A viewing will be held in the church Saturday 9:00 to 10:30 am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Schuylkill Valley Bible Chapel on behalf of City Gate Mission, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. Your mum and dad will always be for me the lighthouse of deep love, generous care and undisputed morality.
I cherish memories of them together as well as their unique personalities.
I was lucky to have known your dad and could spend time with him.

Christian was an encouragement to me seeing his faithfulness to the church and His Savior. He always had a smile when I talked to him. I'm so glad I was able to visit him in his last month and encourage him...even then his face lit up with a big smile when we talked about the Lord. I pray comfort for family and friends.
