Christian Hayes Simpson gave us the most incredible 7.5 months of our lives. He brought a shining light with his smile, comfort with his hugs and kisses, and eternal happiness with his love. He never found food he didn’t like. His favorite things were eating, sitting outside, and getting love from his family. Though his time here was shorter than we hoped for, we trust in God’s plan. Hayes will forever be in our hearts.
Hayes is survived by his parents, Cade and Cayla Simpson of Sulphur; his sister, Bella Martin of Sulphur; grandparents, Will and Britnee Heinen of Vinton, Chris and Chayla Merritt of Port Neches, TX; and many aunts and uncles and other family. Hayes was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jesse Neal Simpson, Jr.
Services for Hayes will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The family will receive friends on Monday from 9 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 12 PM. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, LA.
The family would like to thank Megan LeBoeuf with the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s office, Sulphur Police Department, and all of our immediate family and friends for all of their love and support.
