On July 6, 2024, Christina Jean "Piper" Gernert, aged 40, passed away just 4 miles outside Reardon, WA. Born on October 8, 1983, in Coeur d'Alene, ID, Christina was a beloved figure in Post Falls, ID.
Christina's journey was one marked by resilience and determination. She navigated the public school system in Post Falls and proudly graduated from Post Falls High School in 2001. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to achieve a Bachelor's degree in business from the University of Phoenix in2013 while simultaneously juggling a full-time job and caring for her two children and husband.
In March 2005, Christina married Tyson Ray "Hammer" Gernert after years of companionship that began back in their 7th-grade days. Their union lasted for 19 years and was a testament to commitment and love.
Diving into entrepreneurship alongside her husband Tyson, Christina co-owned and operated Streamline Remodeling and Siding LLC, serving the local community with dedication and integrity. Over the years, she transitioned from a pioneering female foreman at Viking Homes to a vital part of their successful business venture.
An active member of various organizations within the community, Christina's compassionate nature shone through her involvement in charity events that aimed at supporting those in need. She brought people together through her roles as secretary of the North Idaho Iron Blood chapter and the Inland Northwest Council of Clubs.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Christina cherished moments spent riding her motorcycle, engaging with friends in the community, immersing herself in books when time allowed, and reveling in outdoor activities like camping. Her love for her family was boundless as she devoted time to nurturing relationships with her loved ones.
Christina leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her devoted husband Tyson Gernert; daughters Alyssa Moore and Shawna Gernert; brothers Kenneth Clem and Nicholas Clem; brother-in-law Justin Gernert; sisters-in-law Nicole Gernert and Danielle McCoy; mother Donna Borgert; father Samuel Clem along with step-mother Sandy Langston; father-in-law Neal Gernert; mother-in-law Sue Gernert; nieces; nephews; and future grandchildren.
Christina Jean "Piper" Gernert will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, kindness towards others, and deep-rooted connections within her community. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
