Christine is also survived by her grandchildren Kayla Hauptman and Brett Burnor and great grandchild Cooper Cirillo. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews Carol Lamb, Jim Lamb, Chrissy Plumb, Jennifer Brownyard, Douglas Luft, and Gregg Luft. Christine was a graduate of Balwin Highschool in Long Island. She married her husband Henry on August 9, 1969, in Balwin Long Island. Henry had been drafted into the military and was soon deployed overseas. Christine, although not a military member herself, was proud of her husband for his service and of her country. Christine stood by her husband’s side through two wars, only being able to reach him through letters. While Henry was deployed Christine remained strong and not only took care of their two boys, but also their home in Deer Park Long Island, while working full time until Henry’s return home. The couple left Long Island in 2002 and moved to Oxford, NY to enjoy their retirement. Here at her home in Oxford, Christine loved birdwatching from her windows. She would regularly leave out food and treats for the birds and wildlife hoping to entice them long enough for their beauty to be enjoyed. Christine loved gardening and could always be found in the garden tending to her flowers or enjoying the scenery that surrounded her. Christine loved her children and grandchildren and being able to spend time with her family. She also adored her cat, Merlin. Christine was a member of the McDonough American Legion Post # 1478 and a HOG member. She loved riding Motorcycle with her husband and was a kind, caring and loving person.
