CHRISTINE H. DeJAYNES
Christine H. DeJaynes, 79, Centralia, MO passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. She was born August 16, 1945, in Ottumwa, IA the daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Boettcher) Cloke.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Shelly DeJaynes of Columbia, MO and Mandy March and her husband James of Centralia, MO; one sister Bev Fry and her husband Russ of Burlington, IA; four grandchildren Amber DeJaynes, James March and his wife Sophia, Gabe March, and Grant March; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, one brother Steven Cloke preceded her in death.
Christine was first and foremost a family person, whether it was her Missouri or Iowa family. She was a wonderful grandmother and mother. She loved to go with her daughters and their families often for lunch after church. It wasn't unusual for her to take a nap after lunch while the grandkids hung out with her in the living room. She worked as an Inspector for Diversified Plastics for many years after she did a year trial at nursing. She was a member of Sunnydale Seventh-Day Adventist Church for 40 years. She enjoyed reading, walking up to the library where they had her books ready and waiting because she was a regular visitor. She listened to music, usually the local christian station or old-time country. She liked watching television and movies, normally oldies.
