Christine "Chris" Ferry passed away peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer, surrounded by her loving family and with her devoted husband of 45 years, Bill, by her side.
Chris was known for her big hugs, loving smile, and the warmth that radiated from her heart. She touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving behind memories filled with love, laughter, and kindness. Her presence was a gift, and her love for her family was the cornerstone of her life.
Born in Canton, Ohio, to her parents Alice and William, Chris was a proud daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Family was the heart of her life. She found immense happiness spending time with her grandchildren and her husband. Some of her most treasured memories are their family vacations and the years she and Bill spent bowling together. When she wasn't with the grandchildren, she found joy in simple pleasures: sitting outside feeding the squirrels, playing her computer games, visiting Mountaineer with her sister, playing cards with her brother, and talking for hours on the phone with her siblings.
Chris also had a deep passion for Cleveland sports and the Ohio State Buckeyes and rarely missed a chance to watch a Cleveland Indians game with her grandson Devin. Chris was known for her love of Christmas. A love that was handed down to her from her mother. She treasured the holiday season, eagerly watching Christmas movies and Rudolph while creating the most amazing memories with those she loved.
She is survived by her loving husband Bill Ferry; her sisters Mary Myers (Lenny) and Viola Munk (Ron); her brother Chet Huth (Marie); her daughters Jennifer Brackett (Jerry), Melissa Sandor (Eric), Julie Ferry, and Stephanie Harvey (Chris); and her beloved grandchildren Autumn, Jaycee, Dawson, Devin, AJ, Tyler, Lauryn, Hannah, William, Ayden, Ava, Alyvia, Alexis, and Liam.
She is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her deeply.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents Alice (McCoy) and William Huth, her brothers William and Michael Huth, and her son-in-law Larry Thomas.
A visitation for Chris will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again on Thursday, June 26, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Ed Barnes. All services will be held at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, 4041 Cleveland Ave S. Canton, Ohio 44707. Friends and family may share condolences and memories.
