Christine B. Foster

Christine B. Foster, 82, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025.
Born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, Canada to Maxwell and Mamie Andrews, Christine was known for her kind heart, sweet spirit, and a smile that could light up a room. She dedicated her early years to serving others as a nurse's aide, a profession that reflected her deeply caring nature.
Christine met the love of her life, Daniel Foster, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Boston. They were married in 1961. They later lived together in a lighthouse in New York during Daniel's time in the U.S. Coast Guard. When Dan got out of the Coast Guard, they moved to Michigan to be near family. They eventually settled in the city of Clawson where they were proud residents for many years and raised their 3 daughters.
For over 50 years, Christine was a beloved and faithful member of Troy Baptist /Woodside Bible Church in Troy, Michigan. Whether serving in the nursery, working on the kitchen committee, or helping in countless other ways, she was always ready to lend a hand. Her generosity, servant's heart, and love for her church community left a lasting impact on many.
Christine also had a passion for reading and was well known for her delicious desserts, which she joyfully shared with family and friends. After the events of 9/11, Christine became a proud U.S. citizen in 2003.
Christine is survived by her daughters, Laurie Lonie (Gordon), Vickie Cameron (John), and Louise Harding (Michael); her grandchildren, Jessica Slep (Jakob), David Harding, Emma Reynolds (Brandon), and Zachary Cameron; and her great-grandchildren, Adelvice Harding, Leon Reynolds, and Joelle Reynolds. She is also remembered with love by many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Daniel Foster.
Family will receive friends Friday, May 23, 2025, 3-8pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Price Chapel) 3725 Rochester Road, Troy, MI 48083 (btwn Big Beaver/Wattles), 248-689-0700.
Funeral Service Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11am at Woodside Bible Church, 6600 Rochester Rd, Troy, MI 48085. Visitation at church will begin at 10am.
Interment will be held at Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills.
