Christine M. Lloyd, 51 of Aledo, died Monday at Unity Point, Bettendorf after a courageous battle with ALS. Memorial services will be Monday at 11:00 AM at Speer Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association or ALS Foundation for Life.

Christine Marie was born on November 14, 1971, in Aledo, Illinois to Robert B. & Sherry Lee (McKeag) Bieri. She was a 1989 graduate of Aledo High School and a graduate of St. Ambrose University. Chris and Phillip Lloyd were married on October 28, 1995, in Aledo, Illinois.
Chris was a dedicated Occupational Therapist, having worked for Genesis for over 25 years and lastly with OSF before her retirement. She was an advocate for her patients. Chris was a genuinely kind, non-judgmental person who loved animals, her friends and especially her family. Chris and Phillip enjoyed hiking and biking, especially at Starved Rock. She enjoyed flower gardening with her mother. In her youth she enjoyed oil painting and sketching, horseback riding and dancing. Chris enjoyed spending time with her best friend and daughter, no matter what the journey.
Those left to cherish Chris’s memory include her husband, Phillip; daughter, Alexandra Lloyd and special friend, Cody Jackson; her father, Robert B. Bieri; her siblings: Laurie & Keith Moreland and Russ Bieri & Renee Harfst, all of Aledo and a bonus sister, Diana Daggett. She is also survived by her work family, all her girlfriends and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Chris was preceded in death by her mother and great friend, Sherry Bieri.
