Edward H. McIntyre, 61 of Aledo, died peacefully on Monday August 11, 2025, at Arcadia Care at Toulon with his brother and sister-in-law at his side. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 13th at 10:00 AM at the Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo is assisting the family.
Edward Haines McIntyre was born on August 15, 1963, in Aledo, Illinois to Roger Haines & Gayle Jean (Askew) McIntyre. He attended Aledo High School, where he excelled in Art. He especially liked to sketch. In later years he enjoyed fishing and feeding the birds. He could often be found watching Westerns and True Crime stories on TV.
Edward is survived by his siblings: Jim & Jenifer McIntyre, Theresa Boughton, Edye & Kerry Beasley and Chris & Craig Bishop and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Bobby Tennant.
