Christine Lynn Medwid

Christine Lynn "Chris" Hawley Medwid, age 60, of Harborcreek, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic. Born on November 15, 1965, in Würzburg, Germany, Christine was the daughter of Samuel Hawley and the late Dorothy Brandon Hawley. She spent many years building a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Christine dedicated much of her professional life to serving others through her work at the Erie County Assistance Office. Her commitment to helping those in need reflected her generous spirit and compassionate nature.

For Christine, joy was found in simple pleasures, especially when surrounded by loved ones. Her favorite place was her backyard pool, where she spent countless hours swimming and relaxing. It brought her great happiness when friends and family gathered there to share in the fun. Music also played a special role in her life. She cherished attending concerts with her children and creating lasting memories through those shared experiences.

Christine's vibrant personality made her a beloved presence among all who knew her. Fun-loving and always ready for a good time, she brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, William Mark Medwid; their son, Jason Medwid; and their daughter, Amber Medwid. She is also survived by her father, Samuel Hawley; sister, Cindy Seth and husband Matt; brother, Bob Hawley and wife Lu; sister, Wendy Cochran and husband Bill; as well as nieces and nephews, Matthew Seth (Christi), Amie Tirado (Ismael), Renee Seth (Da'Ronn Hunter), David Cochran (Bunny), Joe Rice and Amanda Scypinski.

Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Brandon Hawley; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
