Christine Marie (nee Cosgrove) Reese, age 74 went home to be with the Lord on July 31,
Born in Chester Pa on July 17, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Louis N. and Marie Cosgrove. She was a long-time resident of Folcroft and then moved to Chichester where she raised her family.
Chris was a 1969 graduate of Chichester High School where she met the love of her life, Tom Reese. She went on to attend Philadelphia College of Bible. She proudly worked in the Cafeteria and Janitorial Services at TCA, to provide her kids with a good education. Then she took up the mantle of homeschooling all 4 of her girls, which led into helping to start a homeschool coop at FBC Collingdale. She taught so many students over the years, she LOVED Math and Science the best. This continued until Covid shut the school down, at which point she took up providing that same education to 5 of her grandkids in her home.
She was a long-time member and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Collingdale. She enjoyed her time at the church doing kid's crafts during Wednesday night, and summer programs. She became "Mom" to so many teens in the community who just needed a safe place to land. Her voice was a light in the Church for years; she sang special music and was a member of the Choir.
Chris was caring and always thought of others as she took it upon herself to write encouraging prayers and texts to anyone who weighed heavy on her heart; this seemed to really encourage the widows in her church but went beyond that to many other people in her life.
Survivors: Beloved wife of 53 years of Thomas L Reese Jr. loving mother of Dawn (Richard) Bishop, Jennifer (William) Pilling, Holly (John) Estep and Amanda (Andrew) Rauenzahn, cherished grandmother and affectionately known as Mayna of Tommy, Dorothy, Elijah, and the triplets: Richard Jr, Gabriel, and Paige; Madiera, Ashlynne, Nathan, Jude, Billy, and Skylar, dear sister of Marilyn (the late Buster) Locke and sister in law of Gail Cosgrove, Betty Hummel and Cyndi Hill and 12 nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers Kenn Cosgrove and Warren "Cos" Cosgrove
