ABENDSCHEIN, Christopher P., age 57, of Brownstown, July 12, 2023. Beloved life partner of Susan Zimmerman. Loving father of Kirsti Abendschein. Dearest grandfather of Aiden, Avery, and Lucas. He is survived by his siblings Tina Abendschein, Eric (Sam) Abendschein, Tony Abendschein, Nathan Matyas, Adam Matyas, Matthew Matyas, and Stephanie (Chris) Matyas-Lindsey. He is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Gayle Matyas, brother John Abendschein, and grandmother Wanda Harris. Christopher proudly served in the Navy as a Machinist mate on the USS Coral Sea CV-43. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund for the family. His cremation will take place at "The Witness Crematory" located inside of Michigan Memorial Funeral Home.

One great memory of both Chris and John, they used to give piggyback rides. I don´t remember how old I was but if I was 3-4 he was around 10.

I remember when he was in the Navy. Thank you for your service Chris.

In more recent years we had lunch together after him helping our cousin with some things.

Like the rest of your incredible family, he will never be forgotten.

I wasn´t sure what to type but apparently these memories were right here waiting to be shared.
