Christopher Michael Abrams, 48, went to be with his heavenly Father on August 5th, surrounded by family and loved ones. Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 12 noon to 1 p.m at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park in Fairlawn.

Mr. Abrams was born on December 2, 1975, in Akron, Ohio, to Michael Paul Abrams and Pamela (Estep) Given. He studied Philosophy at the University of Akron and had a successful career as an Optician. Chris enjoyed traveling, bowling, and playing recreational basketball. He cherished spending time with family and had a profound love for music, especially singing contemporary Christian songs.

His family paid this tribute to him: "Chris was a kind, loving person to all he knew and loved. He had a strong love for God since he was a child and was always willing to help someone in need."

Chris is survived by his children, Jonah and Declan Abrams; his father, Michael Abrams; his mother, Pam Given; his grandfather, Edward Wharton; his grandmother, Clarice Abrams; his stepmother, Connie Ramsey; his sisters, April (Cesar) Nieves and Crystal (Leshawn) Brown; his brother, Jeremy (Lauryn) Cadwallader, and Matt Shelby; his fiancée, Cara Hyde; and multiple nieces, nephews and other family members.
