Christopher Anglin

Christopher Robert Anglin, 70, of Endicott, NY, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 23. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice Woltjen Anglin; three children Nicholas (Lacey), Kevin (Courtney), and Stephanie; and five grandchildren, Nolan, Moira, Fiona, Pippa, and Robin, who knew him as their beloved "Poppy." He is also survived by his siblings Holly, Johannah, and Eric. He is predeceased by his parents, Lilian and Robert Anglin. Chris's greatest passion in life was his family. He was selflessly devoted to their well-being and could always be counted on as a reliable helping hand, no matter the size of the task. Chris had a delightful, jovial nature; he charmed everyone with his stories, antics, and his self-deprecating sense of humor. He was particularly fond of all of the family dogs. On special occasions he would make blueberry pancakes for breakfast, and for Thanksgiving the family enjoyed his legendary stuffing. Chris spent his formative years growing up in Surf City, NJ, where he made several lifelong friends. He enjoyed returning to his childhood home at the shore with his family each summer. Chris loved being outdoors, working on his boat and in the yard, and spending time with his wife and family while skiing, swimming, kayaking, boating, and playing tennis. Chris was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Endicott. Chris received a B.S. in Accounting from Susquehanna University in 1974 and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Binghamton University in 1996. He worked as a process engineer for 22 years. He was a dedicated and passionate employee of numerous corporations, including Dovatron, Flextronics, Indium Corporation, and Universal Instruments, where he received awards for his publications and presentations in the field. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 12 Noon at First United Methodist Church at 53 McKinley Ave in Endicott, NY, with Rev. Janet Abel officiating. The family will receive friends at the Barber Memorial Home 428 Main Street on Sunday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to UNICEF or the Humane Society.
