With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Christopher "Chris" Michael Archuleta, who left this world far too soon on November 7, 2025, at the age of 35, surrounded by the love of his family. Though his time on Earth was brief, the impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him will remain everlasting.
Chris was born on September 26, 1990, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Julie and Frank Archuleta. He is survived by his fiancée, Gabriella Rivas; his daughters, Izzabella and Tillyanna; his mother, Julie Archuleta; his father, Frank Archuleta; and his sisters, Maggie Sterk and Stephanie Cloven. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him deeply.
Chris was a loving son and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. From a young age, he found joy in sports, playing soccer and baseball with the same enthusiasm and energy he would later bring into every part of his life. His playful spirit, determination, and warmth made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.
As a brother, Chris was extraordinary. He was a shoulder to cry on, a source of strength in moments of hardship, and the loudest supporter of every dream. Compassionate and intelligent, he had a remarkable ability to brighten any room he entered. No matter how heavy the moment, he always managed to make you smile.
Chris was a devoted father and a loving fiancé. His daughters, Izzabella and Tillyanna, were the absolute light of his life, and everything he did, he did with them in mind. He took immense pride in being their dad, and the love he had for Gabriella and his girls radiated through every choice he made.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Chris approached each day with purpose. Whether he was providing for his family, helping a friend, or sharing a laugh that could fill a room, he lived with sincerity, loyalty, and strength.
One of his greatest passions was coaching his daughters' softball teams. The field was his happy place, a space where he could teach, inspire, and encourage not only his girls but every child fortunate enough to be coached by him. His patience, enthusiasm, and genuine love for the game touched countless young lives. To the girls he coached, he was more than a coach; he was a mentor, a supporter, and a role model who believed in them wholeheartedly.
Chris also had a lifelong love for airplanes, a passion that guided his dreams and shaped his career. For 20 years, he dedicated himself to his work as an aircraft technician. A role he approached with pride, commitment, and true joy. His devotion to his craft was evident to all who knew him. Not a day passed without him sharing how much he loved what he did. Aviation wasn't just his job; it was part of who he was.
Chris will be remembered for his big heart, his unwavering loyalty, and the way he made everyone around him feel valued. His presence brought warmth, humor, and comfort, and his absence leaves a void beyond measure.
Though he has left this world, Chris's spirit will continue to live on in the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared so generously. He will be forever cherished by his family, friends, teammates, and all who were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025. A Rosary will take place at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Jude’s Thaddeus Catholic Church. A graveside service will occur afterward at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:30 AM. A reception will be held following the graveside service at Odd Fellows Lodge, 1101 Odelia Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the same love he gave so freely.
