Mr. Christopher Paul Caldwell, age 60 of Chapel Hill, NC, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Authoracare Collective in Burlington, NC.
The Obituary
"And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."
Christopher Paul Caldwell, better known as "Chris" or "Judy" was born on August 31, 1964, to Paul and Geraldine Caldwell. He departed for his eternal resting place in Heaven, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Chris was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Growing up, he always had a love for sports, especially the North Carolina Tarheels and the Carolina Panthers. In addition to his love for sports, Chris had a love for fishing and conversing with all of his friends. He graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1982 and while there, he played football (earning the Golden Helmet Award, for his contribution to the team).
Chris had a short tenure in United States Marine Corp. After returning home from the Marines, he worked for the Town of Carrboro for many years (in addition to working many construction jobs).
Although, he was not married, Chris had a very close friend, Ernestine, who predeceased him. Chris and Ernestine spent many years together on earth and are now rejoicing in heaven together. In addition to joyous times that Ernestine brought to Chris' life, she was also the person that connected Chris to his long-life friend, his dog "Little Man". Little Man was Chris' side kick and to see them together, you could, instantly, tell that they were inseparable. Even though he dealt with his sickness for over a year, Chris kept smiling, kept being strong and most of all, he developed a love and closeness to all people, who went through his battle.
Exodus 14:14
"The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent."
