The Divish family is saddened to share the passing of their youngest sibling, Christopher George, 46, who tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident on March 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia (Dolan) Divish and William J. Divish. Despite many challenges, Chris was a kind soul who brought joy to those around him. His family enjoyed creating unique potato-themed gifts for him each Christmas, a beloved tradition since childhood. Chris cherished time with his nephews and nieces, especially during beach vacations and holidays. Always up for an adventure, he never hesitated to take them crabbing at the crack of dawn or riding around in the golf cart after dinner. He enjoyed listening to their stories and playing with them in the pool. Chris had a passion for gardening, kayaking and listening to audiobooks. He was also a talented poker player, winning a professional-level Texas Hold'em tournament in New Albany. One of his strengths was his caring heart - especially as a devoted son to our mother. They relied on each other. Through large and small acts of kindness, he ensured she felt loved. His warmth, humor and kindness will be deeply missed by his six siblings, fifteen nieces and nephews, extended family and network of supportive friends (who referred to him by the nickname "Gus"). A gathering will be held at a later date when his headstone is placed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Anchor House Food Pantry in Seymour, Indiana in c/o Collins Funeral Home. We hold Chris in our hearts and find comfort in the memories he left behind. Please share memories and condolences at www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
