Mr. Christopher Ellington

The Graveside Service for Christopher Ellington of Montezuma, Georgia will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Montezuma, Georgia. Christopher Alexander Ellington, (BKA Joe), son of Lavivian and Antrius Ellington, was born October 6, 1998 in Macon County Georgia. He received his Christian training at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church in Montezuma, Georgia. Christopher was a 2017 graduate of Macon County High School. He furthered his education and earned a Networking Specialist Diploma from South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Georgia on May 2, 2019. At some point, Christopher became interested in music. He began teaching himself how to make beats. He also wrote songs. Christopher had a great love for music. His favorite artist was the great Bob Marley. Music and his two brothers and baby sister were his biggest loves. Christopher would drive his grandmother to Stone Mountain to spend time with his mother, brothers and baby sister.
On October 9, 2021, Christopher departed his earthly life for eternal life. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Hollis Burke, great grandmothers: Reatha Mae Barner, Emma "Honey" Burke, Eloise Ellington and Flora Bell Johnson; great grandfathers: Jessie Burke Sr., Warren Ellington and Art T. Laney.
His loving memory will forever be cherished by his devoted mother Lavivian Ellington and father Antrius Ellington of Stone Mountain, Georgia; his loving siblings: Anterious, Quazerius, and La'Terrian Ellington of Stone Mountain, Georgia; his loving grandmothers: Pearlie Mae Burke of Montezuma, Georgia and Sarah Ellington of Weston, Georgia; his loving grandfather Willie C. Ellington of Weston, Georgia; loving aunts and uncles: Elisha Hamilton of Preston, Georgia, Kwanjalin Ellington (Galen Phillips) of Augusta, Georgia, Sharon Ellington of Americus, Georgia, Greta Johnson (Tyrone Johnson) of Columbus, Georgia, Demorie Ellington of Smyrna, Georgia and Demetreus Ellington of Stone Mountain, Georgia; loving great aunts and uncles: Shirley Brown (Willie J. Brown) of Montezuma, Georgia, Reatha Preston of Marshallville, Georgia, Willie Pearl Preston of Fort Valley, Georgia and Jessie Burke Jr. (Betty Burke) of Orlando, Florida; devoted cousins and friends: C.J. Latimore, Alexia Clayton, Derrell Preston, Jarvis Smith, Milandria Oliver and Marcus Redding.
