Christopher Flynn

Christopher Flynn, resident of Queens, NY, died on 7/23/2022 at the age of 56 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Raised in Tappan, NY, he graduated from Tappan Zee High School in 1984. After a brief stint at Manhattan College, Chris studied the martial arts, specifically Kajukenbo, earning a 5th degree black belt, and for a number of years was a highly respected sensei teaching many students and other instructors in Rockland County. After leaving teaching, he trained in large scale construction and became an Operating Engineer in NYC; he was proud to be a member of the Local 15 Union.
He is survived by his partner and true love Heather Hlubik, parents James and Anne Flynn, siblings Kathleen Fowler (Tim Fowler), James Flynn and Edward Flynn, and his nieces and nephews (Claire, James Brendan, Georgia, Mairead, and Sean).
Chris' many acts of generosity and thoughtfulness towards his family, friends, and even strangers, showed all of us the unlimited kindness of his heart.
He will be missed.
