Christopher Charles "Chris" Grigsby

Christopher "Chris" Grigsby, age 44, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Chris was born on October 10, 1981, in Glendive, Montana, to Janice and Danny Grigsby. He cherished many fond memories and adventures with his parents and brother, Jason, while they traveled for Danny's Heliport jobs. Chris especially loved the thrill of riding in-and occasionally flying-a helicopter during these experiences.

Raised in Glendive, Montana, Chris graduated from Dawson County High School in 2000. In January 2002, he embarked on the incredible journey of fatherhood with his first born, Cheryl, followed by his daughter Jewelia in June 2003.

Chris continued his education at Montana Tech in Butte, Montana, where he excelled academically and graduated valedictorian with a degree in civil engineering in May 2006. In December 2006, he welcomed his son, Jase. Shortly thereafter, Chris and his family returned to Glendive, where he began his career as a water well driller with H&H Drilling.

In the summer of 2008, Chris and Daniela rekindled their friendship, which quickly grew into a beautiful love that lasted until the end. Through their union, Chris gained three stepchildren-Jeremiah, Summer, and Naomi-whom he loved as deeply as his own.

In August 2013, Chris and Daniela welcomed their daughter, Blyte, completing their family. From the moment she was born, Blyte had her dad-and the rest of the family-wrapped around her finger.

Chris loved sharing his many passions with family, friends, and, most of all, with the kids. He treasured making memories at Fort Peck, camping, boating, and fishing, spending time at the gun range, having baking competitions with his brother, and putting on a spectacular Fourth of July celebration.

Chris will be remembered for his intelligence, adventurous spirit, devotion to his family, and the love and laughter he brought to all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his wife, Daniela, their 7 children: Cheryl Grigsby, Jeremiah(Alyssa) Pulse, Summer(Clayton) Pulse, Jewelia(Adam) Real, Naomi Pulse, Jase Grigsby, and Blyte Grigsby; 5 grandchildren: Isaac, Sawyer, Ryker, Beverly, and Dario; father, Danny Grigsby; sister, Candace Grigsby; brother, Jason(Monique) Grigsby; sister-in-laws: Nathania(Kurt) Orcutt, and Dominique(Aarin) Ollerman; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Chris is proceeded in death by his mother, Janice Grigsby, and brother-in-law, Pete Bensinger.
