Obituary of Christopher Hagee
Christopher Hagee, age 58 of Phoenixville, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20th after a long battle with colon cancer.
Born in Darby, PA, Christopher was the son of the late John D. and Mary Frances (Cannon) Hagee and son to his late stepmother, Gwynne Hagee (Linton), of Phoenixville. Christopher graduated from The Vanguard School in 1986. Christopher was an autistic adult who never let his diagnosis limit his life and what he could accomplish. He worked multiple jobs over the years including West Chester University, the former Ground Round and Bennigan's in King of Prussia, Taco Bell/KFC in Royersford, and his most recent job at Infinito's in Phoenixville. Christopher was a faithful member of St. Mary's the Assumption Church in Phoenixville, but would often attend mass at Saint Ann's as well.
Christopher lived in Phoenixville for over 35 years and loved the town. He enjoyed taking the bus to the library or to many of the local restaurants. Christopher was an avid baseball fan, often attending both Philadelphia and Reading Phillies games. He also loved music from his youth and early adulthood as he was often spotted walking around listening to his music on his headphones.
He is survived by sisters Mary B. Hagee McCarthy and Margaret Labik (Steve), brothers Daniel J. Hagee and the late John D. Hagee, Jr., as well as his niece, Ava Labik.
Visitation will be held in church from 10:00am – 10:45am on Thursday, June 26th. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass afterwards at 11:00am at St. Mary's the Assumption Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Burial will be held following in St. Mary's Black Rock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his memory to either the Phoenixville Library (https://phoenixvillelibrary.org/donate-online/) or The ARC of Chester County (https://arcofchestercounty.org/).
All arrangements are being handled by the R. Strunk Funeral Home. Online donations and condolences can be made at www.rstrunkfuneralhome.com.

Christopher used to call the radio station and speak with Erick Klambara, Morning Show co-host and station show producer. He even had Erick's number. Sometimes he would text or call Erick's cell phone. I only heard the conversations. Erick could tell that Christopher was on the spectrum and always would take time out of his rushed schedule to talk to his biggest fan. It always made me smile that Chris liked Erick and enjoyed talking with him. I had no idea Chris was as old as he was. We had missed his phone calls in the recent past and Erick did some internet searching to find out that Chris had passed. Please know that he brought a smile to all of us at WCHE and we will miss him. Erick posted his announcement on the WCHE Facebook page. Godspeed Christopher. And thank your for being our friend and fan.
