Christopher Terrell Howard Sr.

Christopher Terrell Howard Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on June 7, 1971, in Dayton, Ohio, Christopher was a proud graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1989. His journey began when he enlisted in the Navy the very next day after graduation, showcasing his strong sense of duty and commitment to serve his country.

Christopher dedicated many years of his life to the Dayton Public Schools. He was known for his vibrant personality that could light up any room, his infectious laughter, and his ability to make anyone feel special. A true family man at heart, Christopher cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. He was a great dad to his son, Christopher Howard Jr., and a doting grandfather to his grandson, Christopher Howard III. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he took pride in being the best gift giver, always ensuring that those close to him felt valued and adored.

Christopher had an immense passion for life, which was reflected in his myriad of hobbies and interests. He loved to watch movies, particularly superhero films, and was an avid collector of superhero figurines and action figures. His enthusiasm for all things heroic was matched only by his adoration of music, with Prince being his favorite artist, sharing a birthday with the legendary musician. A dedicated fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Christopher took every opportunity to cheer for his team. His favorite place in the world was San Diego, where he relished the sun and the ocean.

He leaves behind a loving family: his father, Cecil Howard; his sisters, Cecile and Brandy Howard; his brothers, Charles (Jennifer) Howard Sr. and Barry (Whitney) Howard; his son, Christopher Howard Jr.; and his grandson, Christopher Howard III. Christopher is also remembered by his special friends, Curt “Buster” Adams and Charlene Roberts, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends who were fortunate to have known him.

Christopher's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Ethelyn McGhee; his paternal grandparents, Waverly Howard Sr. and Mildred Howard; and his beloved mother, Joyce Howard. His absence will be felt deeply, but his spirit will forever inspire those who carry his memory in their hearts. Rest in peace, Christopher. You will be greatly missed.
