Christopher Peter Kraich

Christopher Peter Kraich was born on December 29, 1967, in Yonkers, NY. Chris lived a life marked by intelligence, courage, and selflessness. He passed away at home at the age of 57 after a nearly four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family and friends.
He was a Loving Father and Husband to his daughter Krista Abigail Kraich (21), sons Christopher Peter Kraich (Junior) (19) and Joshua Robert Kraich (16), and wife Sandra Kraich.
Chris was a cherished brother to Andrew Kraich, Michael Kraich, Robert Kraich, and Lucy Barilla. He was also a beloved Uncle to Michael Kraich, Chelsea Frick, Lacie Kraich, Emma Kraich, Carrie Kraich, Frank Barilla, Katy Barilla, and Freddy Barilla.
Chris attended Don Bosco Preparatory School, followed by an impressive academic journey through Seton Hall, Rutgers, Villanova, New England School of Law and obtained his LLM at Fordham Law School.
Chris served in the FBI New York Field Office his entire career which spanned from 7/5/98 to 9/30/25. He first worked white collar crime and public corruption assigned to 26 Federal Plaza. Following 9/11, Chris supported 9/11-related matters out of 26 Federal Plaza and the old Chelsea garage on West 26th. Later, he made his way closer to his beloved Orange County when he was re-assigned to the Goshen RA and finally, the Hudson Valley RA. Chris worked on public corruption and later counterintelligence, where he worked as doggedly as ever, advancing his cases, pursing fugitives, and continuing to be a thorn in the side of US adversaries. Chris was a consummate professional and quiet pit bull. The FBI is better because of the kind of agent he was and the work he accomplished.
Chris loved animals, landscaping, building, and fixing things alongside those he loved. He often spent hours tending to his grounds or working on projects around his home. He coached various sports teams for all of his children, but above all, his greatest passion was his FAMILY, a circle that extended to the many Friends and Coworkers he held dear.
Words cannot describe what this man has meant to his family and to the World. We feel the deep pain of his absence, and his love and legacy will remain with us forever.
