Christopher Neal Larmore, age sixty-three, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at his home in Ocean City, Maryland. Born in Salisbury, Maryland, he was the son of the late Eugene and Patty (Green) Larmore.

Chris graduated from James M. Bennett High School, then began his career as manager at the family-owned Banks Convenience store. His interest in business began when he became a real estate agent with Caine Real Estate, and he quickly followed that with starting his own general contractor business, C & L Homes, specializing in custom home construction. His business was interrupted when he was diagnosed with cancer in 1989, but he persevered through months of chemotherapy and surgery. His appreciation for life raised his desire to help and please customers and tradesmen in his own business, as well as people in general, which led him to become an Ocean City volunteer fireman and cardiac rescue technician. His work ethic and positivity were recognized as he rose through the ranks and ultimately earned the position of Volunteer Fire Chief. He was then hired by the Town of Ocean City as the first Career Fire Chief, as well as being a medic for the Worcester County Sheriff's Tactical Armed Response (STAR) Team. He retired from the Ocean City Fire Department in 2019 as a Life Member of OCVFC to resume his real estate development opportunities.

As a young adult, Chris studied under Tom Lewis and earned his brown belt in Isshinryu Karate. Chris thoroughly enjoyed being on the water, owning his first boat at age eight and numerous boats thereafter. He and Shanon spent the last fifteen years making lasting memories on their Bertram named Business. He was a long-time member of the Wicomico Yacht Club, following in his father's footsteps as they both served as Commodore of WYC. He could be found most summer weekends on the back of the boat with a drink in hand, enjoying time with his dachshund, affectionately named Captain Morgan, and first mate Shanon, just taking care of Business.

Chris is survived by his lifetime partner, Shanon Figueroa, and their two dachshunds, Captain and Riptide. He was affectionately known by Shanon's Idaho children and grandchildren as Papa Chief. He is also survived by his brother, Stephen (Sally) Larmore; nephews Justin, Matthew, Nicholas (Megan), and Gregory (Cara), as well as four grand-nephews William, Alexander, James, and Remy. In addition, he's survived by lifelong friend Jamie Caine, dear friend and mentor John "Jack" Burbage, cherished friends Scott and Nancy Nibblett (Nibbles) and their children Abbi and Ian, as well as many others that were near and dear to his heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nathaniel Green and Hazel Green Davis of Homer, Louisiana, and paternal grandparents Milton and Mabel Larmore of Salisbury, Maryland.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date-arrangements are in the care of the Burbage Funeral Home. Letters of condolence can be sent to the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
