William Ray Larmore, 67 years of age closed his eyes for the last time on June 29, 2024. He was born in Atlanta, GA and was the son of the late William and Eloise Larmore of Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife Debbie. He is survived by his only son Brandon Larmore, seven grandchildren and his lifelong friend Jay Morris. A graduate of Sprayberry High School he went on to make a living as a stonemason. He loved creating stone mailboxes, walkways and so much more. He loved metal detecting and was an avid collector of coins, stamps and arrow heads. Ray was creative with a flair for crafting Americana pieces such as wooden, carved decorative walking sticks, plaques with witty sayings, carved wooden trees, beaded jewelry and paintings. He had a flair for cooking, especially his famous tomato pie and onion rings which earned him the nickname "Onion Ray".He was of the Baptist faith. Ray loved his little dog Rocky, a feisty little Pomeranian who thought Ray ruled the world. He was known as a sensitive and good man who had the heart of a poet which led him to write abundant poetry. Ray had a beautiful baritone voice and in his youth enjoyed singing in chorus, a madrigal group and at church. He was one of four children and his sisters Cathy Reynolds, Wendy Baumgarten and Jennifer Larmore will feel his loss from their family. He will be missed by many.
