Christopher John Lio, 73, passed away on June 18, 2025, after a brief illness. Born on January 15, 1952, to the late Robert and Helen Kowalski Lio.

Family was paramount in Chris's life. He shared a deep bond with his beloved wife, Joan Sheppard Lio, with whom he spent 47 fruitful years. He cherished his role as a father to his daughters, Caitlin and Caroline Lio, lovingly nurturing their growth and supporting their dreams. Chris was a source of strength and wisdom for his family, embodying the values of love, respect, and kindness. Chris led a life rich in accomplishments and filled with love for his family and friends.

Chris dedicated many years of career to Crane Electronics in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where he excelled as the Director of Engineering. His commitment to his work was matched only by his dedication to learning, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College. He pursued further academic aspirations and was just one class shy of obtaining his MBA from University of West Florida, exemplifying his lifelong commitment to personal and professional growth.

Beyond his professional achievements, Chris had a vibrant personality and varied interests. He possessed a profound love for music and was an avid reader, reflecting his curiosity about the world. His appreciation for nature drew him outdoors, where he found joy and inspiration in the beauty of his surroundings. Known for his soft-spoken manner and deep thoughts, Chris was a visionary who always planned for the future while cherishing each moment.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joan, their daughters Caitlin and Caroline, and his siblings, Kathy Martin (Steve), Jane Archer (Brian), Virginia Smith, Rosemary Hillyer (Johnny), Maureen Byrd (Peter), Scott Ball, Casey Sedivy, and Khrystyna Snyder, along with numerous nephews and nieces who adored him. He is preceded in death by his parents and Nancy Ball, Joyce Weston, and Royle Smith.

As we remember Christopher John Lio, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, dedication, and a legacy that will continue through the lives he touched. His gentle spirit and thoughtful perspective will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
