Christopher George Mendla, age 65, passed away on October 16, 2024. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 24 years Kathryn Mendla. Son of the late Felix and Helen (nee Hladchuck) Mendla. Chris will be deeply missed by his loving son Christopher and his dear companion for over 10 years, Maryann.
Chris graduated from Holy Ghost Preparatory School. He went on to LaSalle University and furthered his education there with a masters degree in information technology. Chris went on to complete his postmasters degree in statistics.
He began to work for the Navy as a civilian on the F-14 program, then leaving the Navy to start his own computer consulting business. Chris then went on to work for the Department of Homeland Security then worked for the National Census Bureau.
Chris was always working at his job, on websites or doing things around the house. He loved to fix anything and everything. He absolutely loved boating. He was in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Chris and his father rescued people after their boat exploded. They were true heroes! Chris really loved working with computers, a true natural at it. He was able to start a new job and teach himself computer language in only 2-3 weeks.
Chris was a wonderful husband, dad, friend and teacher. He was "the best Dad I could have ever asked for." ~son Christopher
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave., Southampton, PA 18966. His mass will being at 11am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
