Christopher F. Moleti

Nahant – Mr. Christopher F. Moleti, age 57, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 25th at Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem and a lifelong resident of Nahant, Chris was the beloved son of Frances (Mirabello) and the late Leo Moleti of Nahant. He was a licensed plumber for R.W. Irvine and Sons where he worked for over 40 years. Chris was a "jack of all trades", whether repurposing old wood and making it into something new, building a wall or any other outdoor feature, including his beloved koi pond and waterfall, he always had an abundance of energy and was always happy to help out his family and friends with anything including any projects he decided needed to be done. His work ethic is something that he has certainly passed down to his two sons.

Chris was a thrill seeker and loved doing many adventurous activities with his cherished friends. He was an avid skier going from skiing at Bailey's Hill in Nahant to chasing moguls and the thrill of a lifetime heliskiing out in Utah; mountain biking in the woods in his younger years to riding his bike with his companion Abe running right along beside him around town, and in the past few years, riding his son Christopher's e-bike with a smile for everyone around town. He also loved time surfing on the eFoil with his friends out in the waters of Nahant and on a trip to Miami. His best times were spent laughing and getting together with his family, many friends and his two sons whom he was very proud of.

Chris was the loving father of Christopher Moleti and Eric Moleti and is also survived by their mother Kitty all of Nahant. He was dear brother of Jean Walsh and her husband Tom, Rick Moleti and his partner Dawn Dorgan, Kathy Irvine and her husband Mark and the late John Moleti and brother-in-law of John's wife Sue Moleti all of Nahant. Cherished uncle of Danny and wife Heidi, Robyn, Joe and partner Brent, Jim and wife Leah, Heather, Thomas and wife Kylie, Rosalie and fiancé Jon and Mark Jr. and great uncle of Emma, Madeline, Andrew and Bodhi. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family. Chris was also "Momo" to Rose and her parents Mike and Briana and leaves a void in his close group of many friends.

The family would like to thank the staff, especially in the ICU, at Salem Hospital for their tremendous support and care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Chris's Life on Saturday, September 6th from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 17 Relay Yard, Nahant.
