It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Christopher Kenneth Palmer, who departed this life on June 13, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital - Warren Campus in Phillipsburg, NJ, after a long illness. He was 52 years old. Born on April 30, 1973, in Morristown, NJ, Christopher was a cherished husband, son, brother, and friend, whose indomitable spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Christopher’s journey took him through many avenues of life, a tapestry woven with passion and dedication. He was a proud 1992 graduate of Somerville High School, followed by his attendance at Somerset County vo-tech school. His career as a waiter in Bucks and Hunterdon County brought him joy, most notably during his time at Matt's Red Rooster Grill in Flemington. His colleagues and patrons alike would remember not only his outstanding service but also the warmth and vibrancy he brought to every table he attended.
Beyond his vocation, Christopher was a man of artistic flair; he adored singing and performing in musicals, an enthusiasm that persisted well into his adult life. His talent was matched only by his love for cooking. Known for his culinary skills, he was described as a fantastic chef who ensured everyone around him was "fed up!" – particularly, his Hungarian Goulash that delighted many a gathering.
Christopher was a beloved member of his community. His unwavering kindness and sense of humor endeared him to friends and family, leaving behind an everlasting legacy of love and laughter.
He is survived by his devoted husband, Bryan T. Kramer, of Clinton, NJ, whom he married on April 18, 2015. Christopher also leaves behind his mother and step-father, Jean and Sonny Chamberlain of Bullock, NC; his maternal grandparents, George and Gloria Fichot of Ormond Beach, FL; and his brother and sister-in-law, William and Sonia Grimm of Maricopa, AZ. He is further survived by his dear aunts and uncles, George and Louise Fichot of Long Valley, NJ, Sue and Brian Andersen of Palm Coast, FL, and Uncle Gil, alongside several cherished cousins. Among his extended family, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Scott and Penny Kramer of Chattanooga, TN, and Gregg and Ellen Kramer of Hellertown, PA, hold dear the memories they shared with him.
Christopher is preceded in death by his father, the late David Palmer, as well as his Aunt Theresa. He is also mourned by the memory of his canine companions, Kevin and Gucci, whose loyalty he treasured deeply.
In honor of his remarkable life, a visitation for friends and family will be held at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, leading into a celebration of life that commences at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
