On November 21, 2024, Christopher Scott Sedeno passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was born on May 25, 1971, to Domingo Flores Sedeno and Donna Jean Cummins.
Chris spent his early years growing up in Louisville Ky. He moved to San Angelo in 1982. He graduated from Central High School in 1990. He worked at the Development Center in the early 90's. He started his career at the San Angelo State School in 1995 where he spent his long career working as an ATP, evening home supervisor, Campus Coordinator and Campus Investigator. He was loved and respected by so many who he cared for and came to be known as Daddy Chris. He retired at the end of July in 2022. He loved being retired and taking care of his Grandbabies. He loved being called Papa.
Chris met Javanna Joy Rives while working at the state school. They started dating on May 9, 1998, and became inseparable. They were married on February 7, 2002, and created their big, beautiful family with Brianna, Steven and Mia. Later that year they welcomed Madison Suzanne Sedeno, and he was so in love with his baby girl. Then fifteen years later they welcomed their sweet and sassy Scarlette Joy Sedeno who would change their lives forever!
Chris was the greatest girl dad and was so proud of his son Steven. He was the greatest and most loving dad and stepdad. He was a devoted and loving husband, son, father, friend and papa. He was always telling stories, playing his music on his guitar, painting and loved watching courtroom tv, Dallas Cowboys, Kentucky Wildcats, along with his enormous library of movies. But his greatest loves were his grandsons: Sebastian (Bunkie), Lucian (Biscuits) and Jameson (Goodle JR).
He is survived by his wife and best friend Javanna Sedeno, parents Domingo Sedeno (Edna), Donna Martinez (Pete). His in-laws, Steve and Debra Rives. His children Brianna Adame (Sebastian), Steven Sedeno (Lupita), Mia Torres (David McGary), Madison Sedeno and Scarlette Sedeno. His siblings Jennifer Fuchs (Greg), Robert Sedeno (Cassie), and Amos Ramirez (Ivette). His sister-in-law Stephanie Koenig (Kelly). Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Nieces Alex, Emily and Caitlyn Sedeno. Mikayla Balcomb (Keoni). Nephews Caleb and Christopher Sedeno and Jakob Koenig. One brand new great niece Lillian Jane Balcomb. His lifelong friends Brad Haman and Brad Jones.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Estanislado and Octavia Sedeno and Walter and Vera Cummins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26th from 5 to 7 with an informal Rosary at 6pm for all who want to participate. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at Harper Funeral Home with burial following at the Robert Lee Cemetery.
He lived his life with no apologies, unapologetically him until the end. His tender heart and kindness will be with us forever
