Christopher Alan Shivers Sr.

Christopher Alan Shivers Sr. was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to William James Shivers Sr. and Lorraine Godfrey on April 24, 1979.
Chris graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School in 1997 and has since dedicated his life to protecting his family. He had a communal upbringing, and in his early days, he called many places home. His experiences, both pleasant and trying, Which gave Chris an unfaltering appreciation for his family.
Chris was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, uncle, and cousin. His devotion to his family was limitless. Anyone in his life could call him anytime, and he would show up in any way he could, no questions asked.
He was a proud father, happy to share his birthday with his baby girl Chrissy and he was his son CJ's biggest fan on the football field. Though he presented himself as a warrior to the world, he always saved his funny and caring true character for his family with his infamous smirk-like smile. Chris was known for flashy baseball caps and watches, enjoying a good cup of tea in the morning, and reaching out just to check in with a "you good" text.
He enjoyed sports and would occasionally participate in a pick-up game of basketball. He gave back to the community that raised him in his own way, by cheering on local youth at the community games or sharing a few dollars with some of the neighborhood children to get candy from the corner store.
To have known Chris was to have known loyalty.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, William Shivers Sr. He leaves behind his mother, Lorraine Godfrey, and his second honorary mother, Francine (Mark) Nicholson. He also leaves his children; son Christopher Alan Shivers, Jr., and daughter Chrishayla Shivers. He also leaves siblings: brothers William (Zena) Shivers Jr., and Terrell (Shayla) Shivers; sister Tehra Shivers and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
