Christopher Nealson Whitehead

Christopher Nealson Whitehead, 43, of Gurnee, IL passed away peacefully on November 5th in Lake Forest, IL. He was born March 20th, 1980 to Kenneth Lee Whitehead and Cory Whitehead. He graduated from Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, IL and attended College of Lake County and later George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where he played baseball at both of the schools at the collegiate level. Chris was an avid baseball fan; wicked left-handed pitcher and first baseman. His love of the sport transferred to his boys and he never missed one of their games. Chris was also passionate about food and loved all kinds of cuisines and enjoyed trying new restaurants. He loved his children immensely and was a loving and devoted father to his three children, Christopher II, Kenneth, and Olivia Whitehead. In addition to his children, he is survived by mother, Cory Whitehead, older brother, Eric Whitehead, step-brother, Kenneth Lee Whitehead II, step-sister, Monique Thompson and his special love, Jane Hood and her two boys. He was proceeded in death by his father, Kenneth Lee Whitehead.
Celebration of life will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church 824 N. Lewis Ave. Waukegan, Illinois.
