Chuck Allison, 61, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Oak Harbor, Ohio. A proud veteran, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Chuck lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and love for his family and country.
Born on December 4, 1963, in Morocco, Indiana, to the late David and Sharon (McConnell) Allison, Chuck graduated from Taylor High School in Kokomo, IN, before answering the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army. His time in the military instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and discipline that remained with him throughout his life.
After his military service, Chuck applied his strong work ethic and mechanical talents as a skilled diesel mechanic for Miles Trucking Service in Elkhart. Known for his dedication and know-how, he was always willing to lend a hand or share advice with those around him.
Chuck found joy in the outdoors, whether it was casting a line or spending quiet mornings in the woods. He also enjoyed golf in earlier years, but his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his children and grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Christine (Harter) Allison; his children, Matt Allison of Elkhart, Stephanie Allison, of Niles, MI and Jennifer Allison of Elkhart; and his treasured grandchildren, Hunter and Jayden. He is also survived by his brother, David (Kathy) Allison of Elkhart; half-brothers, Dwayne (Amy) Whittaker of Logansport and James Whittaker of Peru; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather to honor Chuck's life on Monday, June 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, IN. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Greg Crump.
Following the service, Chuck will be laid to rest with full military honors at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN-a fitting tribute to a man who served his country with pride and lived each day with strength and purpose.
