Cindy Rachele Nix was born March 11, 1969 in Shreveport, LA. She entered the gates of Heaven August 11, 2024. Cindy lived her 55 years in Benton, LA and Bossier City, LA. She attended Benton Elementary, Meadowview Elementary, Cope Jr High, Liberty-Eylau Middle, Cope Middle, Airline High, and Graduated from Benton High. Cindy was affectionately known as Shel and Gretel to those closest to her. Cindy was given the name Honey from her granddaughters Oaklynn Mae Glover and Maple Greenland. Being a mother to Jeston Harris Nix, Megan Reeves Hudson, and Chloe Lawren Thomason was her greatest accomplishment. Cindy’s work ethic was known by all and she was trusted by many to carry out with great detail with the work she was given. She went out of her way to make sure people were taken care of. Her friendships, selflessness, motherliness, and loving heart were her finest attributes.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Walter Harris Nix, brother, Michael Ray Nix(Dude), aunt, Willie Dale Nix, nephew, James Walter Nix ll, and uncle, Dale Thomas Jr. She is survived by her loving momma, Claudette Digilormo, her son, Jeston Tuck, her daughters, Reeves Hudson and Chloe Thomason, and her granddaughters, Oaklynn Glover and Maple Thomason, sister, Kim Howell, and brother-in-law Michael Howell, brother, Jimmy Nix and sister-in-law Lisa Nix. Nephew, Dylan Nix, niece Menda Howell, nephew, Cale Howell, and niece, JoBeth Sheppard.
Honorary Pallbearers: Chuck Thomason, Scott Foster, Dustin Grubbs, Dylan Sparks, Charles Laurents, and Tim Pope. Visitation will be held at Boone Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA 9-10 am followed by funeral service under the direction of Bryan Reed, pastor, Simple Church. Burial will be at Plain Dealing Cemetery after services for whoever would like to join.
