Cindy L Winter, 65, of Columbus, IN (formerly of Lafayette, IN) died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from complications associated with Early-Onset Alzheimer's at Our Hospice in Columbus. She was born February 12, 1958, in Greenfield, IN, to James & Peggy J. DeLay. She married Brent Winter on November 27, 1987 and he survives.
Surviving with her beloved husband of 36 years are her mother Peggy DeLay of Cincinnati, her daughters Autumn (Anthony) Reynolds of Independence, KY, Chelsea Burnett, of Columbus, IN, Amy (Geoff) Spann of West Lafayette, IN, sons Brad Winter of Lafayette, IN, Brent II (Nina) Winter of West Lafayette, IN, 9 adored grandchildren, three sisters Pam (Michael) Rosecrans of Jacksonville, FL, and Jama (Rick) Wade of Cincinnati, OH, & Terri (Ray) Sjaarda of Baltimore, MD. Many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Cindy graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1976.
She enjoyed being outdoors, sitting on the front porch in her rocking chair or sitting in the sunshine out on the pool deck. She was most proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Cindy was a participant of the Longitudinal Early-Onset Alzheimer's Study at the IU Neuroscience Center in Indianapolis, IN.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Alzheimer's Association in Cindy's memory.
A private family service will be held at a later date in accordance with Cindy's wishes.
