Cissy Lynn Brown

Cissy Lynn Brown, age 64, of Resaca, GA, passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2026.

Cissy was born in Laurinburg, NC, on June 29, 1961, the daughter of the late Lannie Locklear. She found peace in the sound of falling rain and had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature. Gardening brought her joy, and she was known for savoring the simple, quiet moments that many overlook. Cissy always made time for the little things in life. In addition to her mother, Cissy was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Those who carry Cissy’s memory forward include her devoted husband, Terry Brown, and her six children, Cherri Lynn Robertson (Ricky), Jessica Walker, Amber Lebron (Anthony), Terry “Drew” Brown (Diana), Jonathan Smith (Ashley), and Donna-Bell Jackson. She was deeply proud of her twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. Cissy is also survived by her two sisters, Faye Locklear (Dale) and Gloria Siler.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, February 2nd, 2026 at New Life Baptist Church. Visitation is from 2pm – 4pm followed by a service beginning at 4pm.
