Claire R. Lanzone

Claire R. Lanzone (Hern), aged 92, passed away on November 7, 2024, in Lakewood, New Jersey.
Born on September 21, 1932, in Jersey City, NJ, Claire lived in Middletown, New Jersey most of her life, and was a cherished member of her community and a devout parishioner at St. Catherine's Church in Middletown.
Claire was the loving matriarch of her family, remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found joy in simple pleasures like bowling, celebrating birthdays, and Christmas Eve gatherings. Claire's happiest moments were spent at the beach and enjoying time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Rita Puglisi, her sons, Peter Hern and Steven Lanzone; her daughter, Phyllis Lanzone, five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Lanzone, who passed away in October 2002.
On Tuesday, November 12th at 8am a Memorial Visitation will be held at the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown.
This will be followed by a Memorial Mass at The Church of Saint Catherine Laboure in North Middletown, NJ at 10am.
