Clara (Satterwhite) Perkey, of Bridgman, Michigan passed away on March 31, 2023 after a brief illness.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 10:00-11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, MI 49106. A lunch will follow at the Warren Dunes Estates Clubhouse 11159 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Clara was born June 7, 1943 in Wardell, MO to the late Mitchell and Pearl Satterwhite. Clara married Joe Perkey June 14, 1964 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Clara was a talented seamstress and had a love for gardening. She also enjoyed working, being productive, and efficient, which she took pride in and was very well known for it.
Clara is survived by three daughters Kerry (Chris) Bolin of Sawyer, MI, Kelly Allen of Buchanan, MI and Karen (Dean) Anderson of Elk Grove, CA, sister Billie Ryan of Coloma, MI, Sister Barbara Huff of Glenwood, IA, and sister Gloria Riggs of Heber Springs, AR. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Nicholette, Courtney, Jessica, Brett, Danielle, & Kara and nine great grandchildren: Izaiah, Jayden, Emma, Jadah, Hailey, Anna, Jackson, Elias, and Amelia.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe on March 26, 2018, her parents, three brothers Jerry, Larry, & Gary Satterwhite, and a sister, Wanda Rogers.
