Clarence Keith Faucette was born in Alamance County to Clarence Faucette and Estell Hatfield Gant on February 28, 1960. Following a brief illness, Keith passed away peacefully at AuthoraCare Hospice of Alamance-Caswell on January 2, 2023. Keith attended Cummings High School graduating in 1978. He was an avid wrestler and was very good going on to earn a Wrestling Scholarship at North Carolina A&T State University and later attending Elon College.
Keith loved swimming and teaching others to swim. He served as a Lifeguard at North Park during his younger years. He loved spending time with Family always talking about his grandchildren, and "His Boys" and Godsons, The Twins (Zyonn and Zymere). He loved working in his yard and took great pride in maintaining a well-kept lawn. Keith loved the Washington Redskins and the North Carolina Tarheels and would often be seen in his North Carolina and Washington sweatshirts. He was affectionally called "Captain" by many of his friends, family, and acquaintances because of his love for sailor hats. No one could go to the beach without him requesting that they buy him a sailor hat. So needless to say, he had a large collection of hats. Even in his last days, when he went to any appointments, he still wanted to wear his hat.
Keith worked for many years at the Orange County Water Department and the remainder of his later years in Textile. He had been enjoying retirement over the past couple of years, sitting on his front porch and talking to any and everybody that came by. That was his peaceful place.
Keith leaves loving and lasting memories to: Lifelong Partner and Caregiver: Gwendolyn Booker Faucette: father: Orbert Gant; three step- children: Donta Booker, Travis Booker and Crystal Booker; Goddaughter: Laporshal Neal; two God sons: Zyonn Neal and Zymere Neal; 12 Grandchildren; 1 Great grandchildren; seven sisters: Vera Williamson (Ronald), Shirley Proctor (Bruce), Stephanie Gant, Precious Gant, Trenesha Gant, Adorable Gant, Jamese Gant; four brothers: Tommy Hatfield, Larry Faucette, Spencer Gant, Trevarie Gant. Keith also leaves a multitude of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Clarence Faucette and Estell Hatfield Gant, Keith was preceded in death by a son Clarence Keith Norman.
