Clarence Wyndham, a pillar of integrity, compassion, and joy, passed away on May 28, 2025, at the remarkable age of 100. Born on May 15, 1925, in Jamaica to Malachi and Myra Wyndham, Clarence's life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to love and service.
His life took a significant turn when he met and married his beloved wife, Icy Wyndham, in 1981. Their union endured for an incredible 44 years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment to each other. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect.
He was a man of many talents and passions. He possessed a gifted hand and used it to build homes from the ground up. He worked tirelessly at Milford W. Twilley Rental Management, Inc. for 20 years and Joe Callis Rental Management for 25 years. He also constructed numerous homes in his community. His love for music and dance was evident in his lively spirit and the joy he brought to those around him.
Religion played a profound role in his life. He was a devout Christian and found solace and strength in his faith. His deep knowledge of the Bible was evident in his frequent sharing of wisdom and encouragement during conversations.
Despite his declining health, which included the loss of his vision, he remained a proud and independent man. He continued to strive to do things on his own, a testament to his unwavering spirit and determination.
He was surrounded by a loving family and friends who adored him deeply. His devoted wife, Icy Wyndham, stood by his side, offering unwavering care and support. Sneed and Tanya Davis, along with their children, also played a crucial role in caring for Clarence until he passed away peacefully.
Clarence is survived by: his remarkable wife, Icy Wyndham; his daughter, Carlene Matthews; his brother, Lloyd Wyndham, and his wife, Olive Wyndham; his sister, Blossom Whitehead, and her husband, Franklin Whitehead; his sister, Joyce Wyndham; his three grandchildren, Dionne and her husband, Donovan, Kusheik, and Isaiah; his two great-grandchildren, Miesha and Michael and his great-great granddaughter Marlee, several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
